Georgios Pelagias is A Cypriot defender born on 10/5/1985. He started his career in 2000 with Olympiakos in Nicosia. With 52 appearances in six years he showed some solid defending and scored three goals for his team.
This attracted interest from Greek side AO Kerkyra who acquired his services in 2006 for four years giving him 77 appearances before he moved on to Italy for Atletico Roma but only achieved 10 appearances before going to S.S Barletta.
He’s 1.87m at 77kg so he’s a tall strong central defender that can help the national team. He’s only been called twice to represent his country but Nioplias likes him and has called him to be in the squad for the next game the Cyprus National Team will play.
Let’s hope this help him boost his career even more and perhaps see him come back in Cyprus as we need more Cypriots playing in Cypriot teams!
